Tai Chi, meaning "Supreme Ultimate Fist", originated in ancient China as a self-defense strategy. Primarily practiced today for it's health benefits, Tai Chi uses slow graceful movements to improve breathing, strength, flexibility, and balance. Described as Kung Fu performed at 1/10 the speed, Tai Chi focuses on precision, balance, and core, instead of blunt force. Regular practice has been associated with an improved immune system, reduced stress, decreased blood pressure, and more. Being low impact, Tai Chi is excellent for youth and seniors alike.
