Stephanie Votroubek - Fitness Coordinator for the Spearfish Rec & Aquatics Center
My name is Stephanie Votroubek and I have been with the Rec Center for over 5 years! I really love my job because I get to help people attain a healthier lifestyle. I teach a number of different fitness classes including: Silver Sneakers, Cycle/Strength, and Pound just to name a few! I also teach a diabetes prevention program called the Lifestyle Change Program as well as the Walk With Ease Program through the Arthritis Foundation. I grew up on a farm/ranch 25 miles NE of Spearfish; we raise sheep, cattle, and crops! I enjoy helping my dad on the farm and my husband with his landscaping business! Family, friends, and the people I get to work with are very important to me. I enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time with friends and family!

Kelly Klein 
I have always loved health and fitness, passed down from my dad who was a great model to me growing up. I have seen all the fitness trends come and go. I currently teach Cardio Blast, Strength and Define, Silver Sneakers, POUND and Boot Camps. I love teaching and have taught all age ranges from High School to Preschool to Seniors. To teach and inspire through health and wellness is my passion and I am blessed to be a member of our fitness team at the SRAC. I have four sons, a soon to be daughter in law, and a very great husband. Originally from Montana, I am proud to call South Dakota my home.

Melissa Currier
Health and functional fitness are a huge part of my life!! Yoga, strength training, Olympic weightlifting, and cycling are my biggest passions. I have been involved in various types of fitness training for many years, and I am always looking to learn and expand my knowledge. I love being able to teach classes; not only do I get to help others reach their fitness goals, but I also am inspired by my students to challenge myself and try new things!! I am blessed to have such great job. Rec Center classes that I currently teach are: Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Power Yoga, Total Body Strength, and Cycling.
In addition to my position at the Rec Center, I work in the community in substance use prevention in our Spearfish youth. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Science (Psychology) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. I am married with two children, ages 5 & 8.

Ashley Uthe
Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I competed in sports in high school. In college, I attended fitness classes, boot camps, and ran consistently. Some of my favorite achievements include finishing several races including half marathons, triathlons, and a marathon. As an elementary teacher, I incorporate health and fitness into my daily routine with my students. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors biking, hunting, golfing, camping, and fishing.
